The NEAT is our vision of what the Light e-MTB category should be, while adding that unique character that defines all Mondraker bikes.
With the NEAT, we wanted to blur the line between traditional mountain bikes and full-on eMTBs. The result? A bike that truly combines the best of both worlds. It’s an enduro bike with 150mm of travel and a 160mm fork, designed to deliver top performance. Light, but without compromising. This bike is the first bike in our "midpower" or lightweight e-MTB category, allowing riders looking for an enduro electric bike that offers the same sensations as a muscular bike, with the silence and sensation of the TQ-HPR50 motor.
A NEW CYCLE
After spending several years analyzing the market and concluding that it did not meet our expectations, we decided to develop the NEAT project. For this, we used an innovative motor and battery system, designed to better meet the needs of this sector, and which resembles us as cyclists.
We quickly realized that weight was a key element for this new platform. But we also knew that there was no way we were going to let it compromise the overall performance, suspension travel or handling of the bike.
INNOVATIVE CINEMATICS
This new category of Light e-MTB has pushed us to develop completely redesigned suspension kinematics, specially adapted to this type of bike.
The NEAT suspension system introduces a configuration where the shock absorber is mounted lower in the frame. This position is combined with a more compact, lighter and stiffer swingarm. The result? Increased sensitivity at the beginning of the shock absorber stroke and optimized shock absorption.
With this more compact swingarm, you also gain functionality: longer seat posts, more space to install bottles, tools or range extenders. As a bonus, this design offers a perfect balance between weight and rigidity.
TQ-HPR50 SYSTEM FOR A NATURAL FEEL
The TQ-HPR50 system is a smart combination that guarantees you a smooth and natural riding experience. It consists of an ultra-compact motor (more on that later), a removable 360 Wh internal battery integrated into the down tube, a 2" display housed in the top tube, and an optional 160 Wh additional battery. The whole thing weighs just 3.9 kg: 1850 g for the motor and 1830 g for the main battery. The additional TQ battery weighs 950 g.
With its 3 natural assistance levels and remarkably quiet operation, the TQ-HPR50 delivers up to 300 W of power and 50 Nm of torque. In terms of autonomy, many factors come into play, but to give you an idea: an average cyclist (around 75 kg) can ride for 3 to 4 hours, with more than 1000 m of elevation gain, alternating between ECO and MID modes, and cover between 40 and 50 km. If you opt for the additional battery, you increase this autonomy by 50%.
NEAT R
The first model in the range is the NEAT R, with a Fox 36 29 Float GRIP EVOL Performance fork, a SRAM GX Eagle drivetrain, SRAM G2 R brakes, an ONOFF Pija seatpost with up to 200mm of travel (depending on size) and Mavic E-Crossride 29 wheels.
